This week we held a special meeting, one we’ve been talking about for a long time… a meeting in reverse! We all enjoyed the costumes, top notch acting skills and the creativity of everyone involved. It was fun, inventive and kept everyone on their toes!

• We held our first Talk Tank on Monday 22nd July. We had some great questions, suggestions and requests on our call! Drop in to our next session on August 5th 6-7pm (watch for an email with the invite).

• We had 5 new members join in one week! We love welcoming new people into the club and look forward to getting to know you.

• 08/05(Mon) 6-7PM: GGTM Talk Tank

  • This is a drop-in session to cover any questions you might have about onboarding steps, Pathways and mentorship.

  • Seasoned members, new members, you’re all welcome to join. No question is too small/big/silly!

  • We will be holding these sessions every 2 weeks.

  • This Fall: Sustainability Special (collaboration w/ Chamber of Commerce) if you’re passionate about a sustainability-related topic and you would like to contribute with a speech, please indicate your interest here. 

  • Mentorship! If you’re interesting in being a mentor or a mentee for our revamped club Mentorship program please reach out to Helen.

🤝 ♣️ July 24 Club Meeting Highlights

We stepped into a different world this week with our guest TMEs Doc Brown and Marty…. all the way from 1985. Doc and Marty shared their futuristic (word of the day) travels through the space time continuum and their plan to get back to where they came from. The solution? Complete the meeting in reverse! A huge THANK YOU to everyone took part. We salute your courage and creativity!

Thank you and shout out to our guests also who dove into the concept and took part! 🙏 

Great job to our members who ran today’s meeting: Helen, Nick and Scott for the Oscar winning acting skills, Alex L, Jack, and Juan for their superb reverse functionary skills, Alex W, Scott, Tavisan and Helen for their inventive evaluations, Salon, Sheila, Vipul, Harris, and Monika for the creative additions to their speeches and all the brave Table Topic speakers. This meeting could not have happened without you all!

This Wednesday, we:

Travelled forwards 2 hours and did the meeting in reverse…. none of our notes make much sense and you really had to be there! Shall we plan for a ‘Back to the Future 2’ meeting?!

We didn’t have our usual voting and feedback for winning of the TMI ribbons… however we did have a special award for each participant of the evening!
