Our GGTM stage was set for transitions as we elected new club officers for the July-December 2025 term. We will build on the amazing work our previous officers have started with new exciting additions. 📣 Stay tuned! 📣 

In the next couple of weeks, the outgoing and incoming officers are doing handover of responsibilities. Thank you for running our club for the past six months: Alex, Gene, Karishma, Adam, Katie, Albert, Tavisan, Scott, Nik and Sebastien! The new officers will officially take their roles on July 1!

🔀 🗳️June 11 Meeting Highlights 

The meeting theme is transitions, aptly chosen by our Toastmaster for the Evening Albert to reflect the club elections held on the second hour of the evening!

Thank you to our seven guests who spent their Wednesday evening with us.

Some highlights from our shortened meeting:

• ♟️ Scott related a chess game full of twists and turns from his youth, when he still had a full head of hair, that taught him not to make easy things extremely hard (🏆 Best Prepared Speech 🏆).

  • Thank you Gene for also doing a prepared speech!

• 💝 Mike D sagaciously (word of the day!) analyzed Gene’s narrative and how it could be combined with a personal touch to elevate the speech (🏆 Best Evaluation 🏆)

  • Thank you Lisa for evaluating of Scott’s speech and Helen for being the General Evaluator.

• 🏛️ Nik related his trip to a certain big clock tower in London when he was 11 and how it sparked his love for architecture ( 🏆 Best Table Topic 🏆).

  • Thank you Michelle for leading Table Topics and Christian, Helen, Zak, Alberto, Angela, Shubham and Carnell for speaking impromptu!
