Dear Fellow Toastmaster!

What a way to welcome June with a meeting which has a full agenda and even fuller storytelling! This is Sheila and I am starting my newsletter journey from this volume. 😊 Hopefully you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing – thank you Helen and Katka for the mentorship! 🙏 

On Wednesday night we:

• were encouraged to “write a short letter”

• were gifted with four beautiful stories (and a ton of anecdotes) of personal journey

Meeting Notes

Amanda attempted (and succeeded!) being the Toastmaster for the Evening (TME) for the first time and invited us to join her in trying something new by signing up for roles ahead of the meeting. All roles were filled minutes before we started, but not-so-subtly echoing the ask to sign-up early as running a smooth meeting is every Toastmaster’s responsibility and TME-anxiety is real y’all! We appreciate you Amanda!

The meeting started on time with Alex W, efficiently setting up and calling us to order as Sergeant at Arms then welcoming us all for the evening as the Interim President, before handing it to our Madam Toastmaster. Thank you Alex and welcome back!
