๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ5th May Club Meeting Highlights

Last Wednesday, we were enriched with stories of Culture, Creativity and Compassion for one another along with learning to think about the world around us a little differently.

Thank you for those who took on roles to run our meeting: Caitlin, Tanuja, Monika, Karishma, Nik, and Alex.

During our meeting we:

  • ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Jay gave us a two-minute special by informing us of an exercise to use when you have a bad day: What is something you are proud of in your personal or professional life?

  • ๐Ÿ’– Shelia gave us a helpful guide to offering support and the different kinds of support people might need depending on the situation.

  • ๐Ÿ’ธ Brandon shared his second part of his speech, โ€œThe Secret Numbers of My American Dream,โ€ focusing on his early career, success and what it meant to him rather than to outsiders. (๐Ÿ† Best Prepared Speech๐Ÿ†)

  • ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ We learned from Shubham lessons from her first live demo and how to be better prepared for stressful situations.

  • For Table Topics, Katie (๐Ÿ†Best Table Topic ๐Ÿ†) brought humor to the stressful part of life, bringing up her Medical History and how itโ€™s shaped her early life.

  • ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Heard Mikeโ€™s evaluation of Sheilaโ€™s speech, giving valuable feedback on her performance (๐Ÿ†Best Evaluator๐Ÿ†).

    • Thank you to our other evaluators Karishma (evaluating Brandon), and Jack (evaluating Shubham).

    • Thank you, Helen, for leading the Evaluation section.
