🗣️ March 26th Club Meeting Highlights
We had another fantastic meeting centered on how online education has redefined learning and how we continue growing outside the classroom. Big thanks to Omar for being the Maverick of the night as the Ballot Counter!

Congratulations to Carnell for giving his Ice Breaker!
This Wednesday, we:
🚴 🏊♀️ Laughed along with Helen’s hilarious and inspiring story of how a crush on a French coworker led to an unexpected triathlon adventure. From a hungover swim to a chaotic bike ride and an exhausting run, she proved that perseverance matters more than perfection—and that impressing yourself is always better than impressing a crush! Good luck to her and this speech on Saturday!
🌤️ 🤲 Listened to Carnell’s deeply moving journey through grief, loss, and healing. His story reminded us that grief teaches us to lead with love, let go of grudges, and be present. (🏆️ Ice Breaker Speech 🏆️)
🎖️ ✊ Were challenged by Jack’s question: What does it truly mean to be great? He shared lessons from entrepreneurship and military service, where staying calm under pressure and showing up every day defines true greatness. Stay humble, keep learning, and maintain that grit and resilience. (🏆️ Ice Breaker Speech 🏆️)
🤔 💡 Reflected on Michael’s insight that wisdom often comes from hardship. Whether it’s getting fired, losing a loved one, or experiencing heartbreak, each painful moment adds to our understanding of life. The next time the world feels like it’s ending, remember—you’re just getting wiser. (🏆️Best Prepared Speech🏆️)
Had a blast with Helen’s Table Topics, inspired by The Moth! From Ping’s unexpected pixie cut to Hannah’s journey to the U.S., our speakers shared stories of stepping out of their comfort zones and embracing the unexpected.
Kyle reflected on when people don’t respect boundaries and go too far. Part of you wants to empathize that they’re just like that, but it can also be frustrating. (🏆️Best Table Topic🏆️)
Nik gave an excellent evaluation of Carnell’s speech, noting the usage of body language and vocal variety and gave some speech structure tips. (🏆️Best Evaluator🏆️)
Another fantastic meeting filled with powerful stories, humor, and valuable lessons! Looking forward to the next one! 🚀

Our Toastmaster, Jack, after his Ice Breaker. Also, Nik wins best Evaluator!

The speaker of the night, Michael!

Kyle wins best Table Topics!
