Ghostmasters 10/29 meeting cancelled

Unfortunately, we are cancelling this year’s scheduled and much anticipated Ghostmasters meeting. The Chamber of Commerce will be closed for an event. We’ll try to sprinkle Halloween activities to surrounding events 😁

🏠 GGTM Storytelling Workshop on October 22 (Wed)

Our regular Wednesday meeting on October 22 (updated from October 15) will be ran differently into a Storytelling Workshop led by Kyle and Helen! Join us and learn how to get your stories on stage more creatively!

🎙️Tall Tales of San San Francisco (and Beyond) on October 25 (Sat)

Taking what you’ve learned from the Storytelling workshop, go up on the Hotel Nikko stage once more and celebrate the art of storytelling — where truth is the seed, but exaggeration is the fertilizer!

Tell your (or listen to) real (or imagined) Tall Tales of San Francisco and Beyond. Join us in another magical evening at Hotel Nikko on October 25 (Saturday) from 7:00 to 10:00PM.

🎡 GGTM Play Day and Picnic on November 8 (Sat)

Let’s soak up the sun (fingers crossed for good weather!), enjoy a laid-back picnic, and dive into some enjoyable Improv games together!

Snacks and refreshments are on us - just bring your energy, your laughter, and your best on-the-spot acting skills. Come hang out and play with GGTM!

📈 October 15 Meeting Highlights

Thank you Gautam for being our note taker this week! 😁 

Theme of Wednesday's meeting was Pumpkin Spice. Michelle, our Toastmaster for the evening, jumped into the spooky season with a spooky theme. The word of the day, scintillating, couldn’t have been more fitting.

Thank you to our members who signed-up for roles: Valeriy, Eugene, Ankita, Ian, Caitlin, Gautam, Alex W. and Helen.

Our speech portion of the meeting started off strong with a wide variety of topics:

• 😮‍💨Clement’s 2 minute special was about how he recently learned about a breathing technique by Navy Seals called “Box breathing”.

• 👑Tavisan explored the four descriptive leadership styles in his speech, “The Budding Authoritarian,” confessing his dream of a strong voice often bumps up against his limited patience.

• 🧠Tanya gave us a fascinating look under the hood in her speech “Your Nervous System is your Operating System,” explaining why you can simply talk yourself into calm because you nervous system is running the show.

• ⏳Ankita took us from the frantic pace of never-ending lists and calls with India and Israel to the powerful moment she was “given permission to step off the hamster wheel,” reminding us that life is the beginning of a more meaningful walk (🧊Ice breaker and Speaker🏆)

Alex W. led our table topics section with a “Buy one get one free” format where you get 2 questions for one response! We heard a flurry of topics and responses like what success means to us and who are role models are. Caitlin pondered the age-old question of success, admitting that while she prefers pumpkin pie over the raw fruit, she believes luck- not just skill - is the main ingredient in achieving success, winning (🏆Best Table Topic🏆).
