🏛️🎨🐦💸 5th May Club Meeting Highlights

Last Wednesday, we were enriched with stories of Culture, Creativity and Compassion for one another along with learning to think about the world around us a little differently.

Thank you for those who took on roles to run our meeting: Caitlin, Tanuja, Monika, Karishma, Nik, and Alex.

Harris Winning Best Evaluator

During our meeting we:

  • 🗣️ Jay gave us a two-minute special by letting the audience choose between three possibly true stories about his life!

  • 💸 Amanda informed us of the growing issues in Philanthropy and what we can do to solve this and get proper funds to the causes they are meant to support

  • 🐦 Mike shared his story of the Pheonix again, taking the feedback from last time and applying it to his story of perseverance (🏆 Best Prepared Speech🏆)

  • 🎨 We learned from Mia how to unlock our creativity through some of the world’s greatest painters and through some of the most imaginative people we know: kids!

  • 🏛️ Tavisan also came back with a speech had done previously on Architecture, Politics and Culture, taking what he learned and applying it to his informative and thoughtful perspective.

  • For Table Topics, Nithila (🏆Best Table Topic 🏆) humored us with her tales of not wanting to tell strangers her personal life (relatable) and instead tell them untrue statements and it slowly getting out of hand (also relatable).

  • 🗣️ Heard Harris’s evaluation of Amanda’s knowledgeable speech getting him (🏆Best Evaluator🏆)!

    • Thank you to our other evaluators Gene (evaluating Mike), Lilly (evaluating Mia), and Max (evaluating Tavisan).

    • Thank you, Shubham, for leading the Evaluation section.

Mike (with the Bike) winning Best Speech!
