🏫💪🎤💖 February 26 Meeting Highlights
Last Wednesday, we were inspired by dignified stories of Professionalism and overcoming internal and external struggles, a reminder to carry a level of poise with us for the meeting.
Thank you for those who took on roles to run our meeting: Sebastian, Aswani, Caitlin, Mia, and Gene.
During our meeting we:
🗣️ During Nik’s Two Minute Special-we learned about what his definition of a Magnus Opus is: ourselves and our untapped potential. What will your great work be?
🎤 Jay gave his Ice Breaker and told us a bit more about himself! Including his love of Karaoke and how it taught him key life lessons: Flexibility, open-Mindedness, and Consistency.
💖Lillian informed us of her mother and grandmother’s strict parenting and how impactful that was to her upbringing and how she carries herself now.
💪 We learned from Aditya about his journey into martial arts and how it taught him skills and life lessons that he takes with him to this day; including Timing Matters and Not Every Rep is Perfect but Every Rep Counts (🏆 Best Prepared Speech🏆).
🏫We had another Icebreaker tonight, Sikieng shared her childhood dream of becoming an Aspara Dancer and how that dream changed over time into becoming a dancer on the Keyboard at her job teaching coding to children
🦅 Katie shared what brings her piece, videos of her friends and family celebrating after the Eagles won the Superbowl! (🏆Best Table Topic 🏆)
Thank you to those who stepped up to the challenge brought up by our Table Topic master Alexandra and gave effective impromptu speeches: Juan, Lajuan, Max, Kaden, Laksha, Shayla, and Janessa!
🗣️Heard Peter’s evaluation of Lilian’s speech getting her (🏆Best Evaluator🏆) praising her good humor and effective hand gestures. Unfortunately, he left before we can give him his ribbon, leading to a very awkward photo (see below)
Thank you to our other evaluators Mia (evaluating Jay), Helen (evaluating Aditya) and Alex W (evaluating Sikieng).
Thank you, Juan, for leading the Evaluation section with call outs on being mindful of time and strategic use of tech for presentations.

Peter unfortunately was not here to receive his Best Evaluator Ribbon, we still took the picture without them
🫵🗣️ Your turn
