  • Congrats to Nick for winning Best Table Topics for discussing his experience being scared walking into a dark room just to realize it was only his little cousin

  • Adam won the Best Evaluation award, evaluating Alex L’s touching speech on what Toastmasters means for her personal and professional growth

  • HUGE Thank you to Helen for putting together a terrific Halloween themed meeting. Looking forward to the second annual!

  • 👹 Helen gave a short introductory speech on “Ghost of Forgotten Speech” about Sara’s fear of public speaking

  • 👻 Sheila opened up the meeting with her 2-minute speech titled, “Tales from the Crypt” about asymmetric cryptography and how it relates to human relationships

  • 🗣 Alex L gave a prepared speech titled “Embracing my Fear, Why I Chose Toastmasters” highlighting her experience with TM and how the hospitality industry has shaped her to who she is today

  • 🔥 Alex W shares a true story about SF in 1906 where multiple fires erupted after a huge earthquake, and notified us all that SF is soon due for its next big earthquake

  • ☠️ Scott told a story of the White family from Petaluma, CA 120 years ago and how they were granted 3 wishes from the “Monkey’s Paw”
